The Western Cape Health Department has urged parents to make use of the free immunisation facilities at the province’s clinics.
The Department said this is to protect the children against illnesses associated with diarrhoea and pneumonia.

The department says pneumonia and diarrhoea account for half of the mortality rate of children under the age of five.
