The Health Department has confirmed three new H1N1 virus fatalities.
This brings the national death toll to six. Officials say the latest casualties were people in high risk categories.
They include a 23-year-old pregnant Durban woman, and two diabetes sufferers: a 27-year-old Eastern Cape woman and a 64-year-old Western Cape man.
The total number of confirmed cases now stands at almost three-thousand.However, it has been estimated that it is closer to seven thousand.
The department again maintained that the majority of people with swine flu, have mild symptoms.
