Tonight the Social Justice Coalition will be holding an anti-arms deal rally in order to urge government to do the right thing and prosecute those involved in the multi billion rand arms deal.

The Social Justice Coalition's Lenon Gana says that the aim of this rally is to promote safety and security for all and also to call a commission of enquiry into the arms deal.

Gana also says that “this rally is also being held in order to protect the rights of every person in South Africa so that they are free from violence both public and privately, as well as the right to decent housing, safe transport, safe schools and play grounds.”

Gana says this to ensure that government upholds its responsibilities and that every person plays a role.
