In what KwaZulu/Natal police believe could be a double suicide, a policeman and his girlfriend were found dead in their home in Bailie Road in Red Hill, Durban last night.
Netcare911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks says the couple were found in a bedroom.
The policeman was still alive, but died shortly after being admitted to hospital with a gunshot to the head.
His girlfriend was found lying on the bed with a firearm near her.
She also sustained a single gunshot wound to the head and was declared dead at the scene.
