2 minors succumbs to injuries after Bishop Lavis house burns down

Two minors has died after the house they were in caught fire in Arthur Abraham Street in Bishop Lavis in the early hours of Friday morning.

‘’Bishop Lavis Police attended a crime scene in Arthur Abraham Street on Friday at around 02:12a.m. On arrival they found a house on fire,’’ said Warrant officer, Joseph Swartbooi.

‘’The police members called the assistance of the local fire brigade and when the fire was extinguished, the crime scene investigators started with their investigations. They discovered the bodies of two minors, aged 4 and 5, who was fatally injured. The victims was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,’’ added Swartbooi

Police have opened an inquest for further investigation.
