Man accused of killing Tazne van Wyk back in court on Monday

The man accused of killing eight-year-old Tazne van Wyk will make his court appearance in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.

Tazne van Wyk disappeared from her residence Elsies River in February 2020. Her body was found in a stormwater drain outside Worcester about two weeks later.

Moyhdian Pangarker was arrested in Cradock, Eastern Cape. He faces 20 charges including kidnapping and murder of van Wyk, 11 counts of rape, three counts of common assault, three counts of sexual assault, two counts of kidnapping,  incest and desecrating a corpse.

It later emerged he was out on parole and had been convicted of a string of crimes dating back to 1981.
