Man's burned body discovered in open field in Tafelsig, M/Plain

Mitchell’s Plain police are probing a murder case after a burned body of a 32-year-old man was discovered in an open field in Tafelsig, on Wednesday morning.

The police’s FC van Wyk said the man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back.

‘’Mitchells Plain police are investigating a murder case following the discovery of the body of a 32-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back on Wednesday, 202402-21 at about 06:50 on an open field in Hoholulo Street, Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain.,’’ said Captain F.C van Wyk.

‘’According to reports community members heard someone being chased down the road and heard gunshots going off. This morning the burnt-out body was found by a community member, who immediately informed police,’’ he added.



Van Wyk said the motive for this incident is believed to be gang related. The suspects are yet to be arrested.
