The Congress of South African Trade Unions says the national convention failed to answer its questions and concerns. Cosatu published a statement aimed at the splinter group on Thursday.
The trade union federation has accused the convention of trying to divide and disrupt the ANC and its allies.
Cosatu’s national spokesperson Patrick Craven says the proposed breaker away party will offers nothing to the majority of poor South Africans.
Craven says this new splinter group is only for the elite and the wealthy and that all members of the alliance should stay loyal to the ANC.
