The Robben Island Museum closure for a period of two may not only be blamed on the culling of rabbits, this is according to Robben Island Museum Senior Manager of Marketing Shoni Khangala.

The world heritage site is also going to put in shape boats and the number of buses which were no adequate to accommodate more tourists.

Also there will be a re-establishment of the NMD building.

“Those are the area that we will concerntrate on during the course of the two weeks” said Khangala

“It was not easy decision especially for the new CEO; we obviously had to make a judgement call”

“This is for the best interest for the museum and the tourists were not happy with the decision but on my side we tried our best to minimise the harm”
