A 24 year old man has drowned in Kommetjie after getting into difficulties in the water.
Ian Klopper who is a station commander of Kommetjie sea rescue said the young man had fell off his pedal ski while Cray fishing.
Klopper said there was a paramedic company Cape Medical Response, present busy resuscitating the patient. The young man was seen by his friend when he was separated from his ski.
The victim lost consciousness on his way to the beach where the resuscitating effort was unsuccessful “and the patient was declared dead on the scene”
