While the country eagerly listened to President Kgalema Motlanthe’s State of the Nation Address, mixed reactions were filling the National Assembly.

The president’s speech was a recap of what the government has done in the past 15 years; however Minister of Education Naledi Pandor looked quite pleased with herself as the president mentioned the number of students passing mathematics, however he also spoke about the educator to learner ratio. President Motlanthe addressed everything from health to labour, says Bush Radio reporter Mishkah Anthony

President Motlanthe’s speech also included a reminder to all South Africans to take advantage of the special registration weekend arranged by the Independent Electoral Commission.
