The petrol price is set to drop on Tuesday at midnight by five or six cents a litre.
The 93 grade petrol is decreasing by six cents.
The 95 unleaded petrol will go down by five cents.
Diesel is also set to drop by 20 cents.
Peter Noke of the SA Fuel Retailers Association said it was a great way to start the New Year.
He also added that he welcomes the decreases.
