Two suspects aged between 36 and 39-years-old were arrested outside Ladysmith for allegedly robbing a house of an 80-year-old woman.

Colonel Jay Naicker said the two men were armed when they entered the house and threatened the old lady.

Naicker said it is alleged that the men were in a group of at least four to five people.

“Police were immediately mobilised and went out search for the suspects. One of the suspects was found in the surrounding bush and was arrested.

A small amount of cash that was allegedly stolen during the robbery was also recovered. Later the same afternoon another suspect was arrested in Ladysmith.” Naicker added.
