Minister of Higher Education and Training Blade Nzimande has welcomed the end of the strike at the University of Limpopo, Medunsa campus.

This is after students went on a strike for two weeks demanding the removal of certain lecturers alleged to be failing students.

It has been calculated that the strike cost almost a million-Rand. Ministerial Spokesperson Khaye Nkwanyana said the minister is appealing that in future students should prioritise negotiations and they must talk instead of embarking on a such kind of action in an event where they reached a cul-de-sac.

“The government will always be ready to resolve their matters that are disrupting the institution.”  Khaye Nkwanyana added.
