SA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE HITS HIGHEST LEVEL SINCE Q1 OF 2008

The South African unemployment issue have make rounds again, with worse effect this time around. For years now SA youth being advised to be fortune hunter to better themselves and to be effective and desire to the country’s economy. President Ramaphosa in June delivered his state of the nation address and set an ambitious goal that in ten years to come he will fundamentally create about 2 million job opportunities for youth to deliberately benefit from, as a stepping stone to continue with SA legacy.
The current report shows the opposite of what we heard from last month, as South Africa unemployment rate has gone far with 1.4% increment in second quarter of 2019 which domains to 29% the highest level since first quarter of 2008, According to EWN data released by Statistics South Africa.
The unemployment amplified with 21,000 number of people adding to 455,000
Statistician-General Risenga Maluleke released the Quarterly Labour Force Survey on Tuesday. The figures showed a slight rise from 27.6% in the first quarter. Maluleke believed this was the peak that the joblessness ratio had gone since the survey was commenced in 2008.
