The spate of
reports on women and children violence remain un-stoppable until this far,
while government is paving the ways to end the problem of gender based violence
and abuse ANCWL have voiced how they face the challenge, According EWN, fellows
of the Africa National Congress Women’s League in Khayelitsha has handed letter
appealing government for urgent serious accomplishment. A group of members
congregated front of courthouse in Khayelitsha held up placards ‘Not in My
Name’ and ‘No Means No’
In past two
weeks the has been many cases of rape, murderer and kidnaping across the
country, and the one UCT student that went viral. Following such saddening
incidents caused demonstrations in SA, the women’s league says seeing the
country becoming more dangerous for them and children required court to take
stricter action against perpetrators

Tamboer quoted, ‘They don’t want to take the law into their hands but if
government does nothing, people will be forced to take law into their own
hands, ‘According to the report, they also went to a nearby women’s house whom
lost her life over the weekend
