CATA’s CHAIRPERSON SHOT DEAD IN NYANGA

 

President of the  Taxi association Cata Victor Wiwi was fatally killed In a shooting that occurred in Nyanga on Wednesday Evening ,one other person was gunned while the 3rd casualty survived

 Over the past few years the Western Cape has been tormented with ongoing incidents of Taxi Violence,where Taxi Operators aswell as Innocent bystanders have been injured or have died

The Transport MEC of the Western Cape Bonginkosi Madikizela has expressed shock and devastation at the death of Wiwi,and has urged SAPS to prioritise this case,he also called on CATA Leadership to remain calm and to allow the Police to investigate,

He Has said  that he will be having an Urgent meeting with SANTACO in the aid of getting to the buttom of the senseless killings in the Taxi Industry,and that himself aswell as the Cata Leadership will be visiting the home of Wiwi to pay their last respects
