Khayelitsha residents stoned 2 people for alleged stolen items

Harare police in Khayelitsha, have arrested three suspects on Tuesday who were allegedly involved in the brutal killing of two victims and the attempted murder of three others.

‘’at about 14:30, police attended a scene in 41 Block Makhaza where two victims were stoned to death allegedly by the community members. They were allegedly accused of breaking into the houses and stealing other people’s items.’’ Said the police’s FC van Wyk.

‘’The members of the community got hold of the five and allegedly assaulted them of which two died due to injuries sustained and three were admitted in hospital with serious injuries.’’ He added.

The trio, aged between 27 and 32, will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s court on Friday.
