Man found dead on a pavement in Thembalethu

Southern Cape police are investigating a murder case following the death of a man in Thembalethu on Friday evening.

The police’s Christopher Spies said the shooting occurred at Zone 6, Thembalethu, on Friday, at about 21:40.

Spies added that the man was found with a gunshot wound to his head.

“On arrival, members found the victim on the pavement at Silvertown with a gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead by paramedics on scene.''

“The motive for the killing is yet to be established and forms part of the ongoing police probe. A post-mortem to determine the cause of death will be conducted during the upcoming week,” Spies added.
