The City of Cape Town’s Substance Abuse Unit, also known as the Drug Busters, confiscated over a quarter of a million rand worth of drugs, alcohol and cash during Operation Cobra.
Councillor Glen Kleinsmith, Chairperson of the Drug Busters, said they have made 37 arrests over the past month for dealing in drugs.
“One highlight was the identifying of the dagga lab in Observatory area where they found evidence of dagga cultivation.”
Kleinsmith said numerous searches were also made during the process and the City will continue its onslaught of drugs.
If anybody has information of people dealing in drugs, they may call 021 900 1719 or 021 596 1999. You can also SMS the information to 32211. If you know someone with an addiction problem, you may call the 24/7 toll free helpline at 0800 435 748.
