The City of Cape Town’s Housing Directorate has started plans for a new housing project in the Bokmakierie area.
The project is said to have the potential to provide 170 houses in the area.
Professional consulatants have been appointed but the City has called on the community, to participate in the housing project.
Tessa Williams, manager of the public participation process, said the City is facing a crisis with regards to housing.
“The reason for having the public participation process is to ensure that the process being done is transparent.”
