A 28 year old man has been arrested in Butterworth for allegedly raping a 7 year old girl.
The incident happened on Wednesday.
The man attacked the victim when she was on her way home and raped her.
He was arrested on Saturday and is expected to appear at the Centane magistrate court soon.
Police captain Jackson Manatha said this is a second incident in a period of one week and the police will try their best to fight these crimes.
