The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform in the Western Cape has raised its concerns regarding bogus land claims processes.

The Department’s Vuyani Nkasayi said that within a month of the announcement of re-opening the land claims process, people have already found a way of corrupting the whole process.

Nkasayi said that if you see anyone charging people for land claims that you have to “report those people to the nearest police station.

“Charging people is illegal because the process of land claims is a government process, you don’t even have to pay a cent” Nkasayi added.
