The Democratic Alliance has called on Minister of Health Aaron Motsoaledi for the urgent gazetting of a code of practice regarding the current Ebola virus disease.

DA MP of Health Wilmot James has called for the minister to update the regulations by listing Ebola specifically as a notifiable disease, and introduce a regulation specifying how a corpse infected with Ebola is to be handled.

James said this is very important for the country so that people know these and are not hidden because Ebola is a deadly killer disease.

James added that the citizen need to work together in order to ensure the readiness on this.
