Cosatu in the NW concerned about exploitation of workers

Lusanda Bill
04 September 2014

The Congress of South African Trade Union in the North West will on Friday be marching to Madibeng employers who have locked out members since the last strike.

Cosatu says companies like CBI Electric are exploiting workers.

Cosatu Provincial Secretary Solly Phetoe said companies need to respect the laws of this country and respect the rights of workers to freedom of association.

Phetoe said during the march tomorrow a memorandum will be handed over to the companies and employers.

“We will demand that the Department of Labour intervenes immediately because workers have been out of work for sometime” Phetoe added.
