Denosa concerned about safety of health workers

The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa said it is not surprised by the manner the Gauteng Health Department has handled the attack of a health worker at Helen Joseph Hospital last Friday. 

The health worker was attacked by an unknown man who is still on the run. 

Denosa’s Sibongiseni Delihlazo said what is more disturbing is that there has been no political will to look into the matter with urgency.

Delihlazo said the response by the employer in this situation was shocking and disappointing.

“A proactive approach is needed in this regard so that health workers can be able to work in a safe environment” Delihlazo added
