Three suspects between the
ages of 17 and 30-years-old were arrested following a hijacking incident in
Port Elizabeth.
A 19-year-old woman was approached by three
suspects while waiting for her friend in her car at Oceanview Street.
It is alleged that one of the
suspects pulled out a firearm and demanded her phone and car keys, which she
handed over and the suspects fled the scene.
Captain Sandra Janse Van
Rensburg says the vehicle was spotted in the Shodavile area and there was a
high speed chase within the area.
The suspects allegedly shot at
the members, they returned fire and the vehicle was at a stand still. Three
suspects were arrested, two of the suspects, one female, one male were taken to
Livingston hospital for treatment Van Rensburg added.
