LUNG CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

The Lung Cancer month happens every year from the 1st to the 30th of November and its main purpose it to encourage people to get themselves checked. People who are constantly surrounded by smokers and people who experience excessive couching and breathlessness should visit the doctor.

The month is fully dedicated to educating people on the importance of checking themselves and learning ways to prevent getting lung cancer. As November is dedicated to bringing awareness to Lung Cancer, it is also important for one to know the symptoms so there can be an early detection. Lung Cancer can affect anyone but it is more common to people over the age of 60 and with early detection it can be treated with a new evolving treatment called Immunotherapy. There are organisation worldwide that help with the initiative of Lung Cancer and in South Africa we have a few like the CANSA organisations with deals with all cancer related matters.
