Scrapping of carrying unabridged birth certificates.

With the festive season fast approaching, and myriads of tourists heading to the Mother City, the City of Cape Town has officially welcomed the scrapping of the requirement for visitors coming to the Cape, to carry unabridged birth certificates when traveling with minors.
The announcement was made by the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Opportunities and Asset Management, Alderman James Vos.
This news comes after Home Affairs minister, Aaron Motsaledi, has signed into law that removes the requirement for parents to carry unabridged birth certificates, or consent letters when travelling with their children.
Vos said on top of his agenda is to ensure the effective implementation of the Tourism Development Framework to boost cultural experiences and help diversify tourism products.
He also intends to increase the already impressive number of tourists from South Africa and other countries to decrease the number of people unemployed.
Vos says that the City has more to offer than ever before, especially with the diverse and heritage cultures.
