The bodies of three people have washed up on
Mnandi Beach on yesterday. The SAPS in Khayelitsha reported that the two of the
man were aged 17 and 25. After the cops found the two bodies a third one was
later found around the same vicinity. Post mortem reports are set to explain
and reveal how these three bodies passed on as they believe they there might be
some sort of foul play.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said it
was rare for three bodies to wash up at the same time. He also went on to add
that the SAPS Diving Unit was sent out to Mnandi Beach on Monday where two
males, aged 17 and 25, allegedly drowned, but their bodies were not found. SAPS
revealed that the gender of the third body was not yet revealed.
Van Wyk also reported that the missing person’s docket was opened
at the Mitchells Plain Police Station with regards to this incident of the
third body.
Officials believed that one of the man were from
Delft and the other is believed to be from Port Elizabeth.
