Family and friends gather for the memorial service of 5 children who died of food poisoning.
Family, friends and
community members attended the memorial service of 5 children in Soweto who
died due to food poisoning. The children all died on Sunday after experiencing stomach
cramps, vomiting and drowsiness all symptoms associated with food poisoning
from food they bought at a spaza shop.
Police are still
investigating the spaza shop as well as other shops in the area who sell goods.
Other families called on the community to pray for the area as it is the second
food poisoning incident to occur in the area.
A candlelight vigil
will be held tonight followed by a mass burial on Sunday.
