This morning as the 1000 volunteer programme to build houses in Wallacedene in Kraaifontein kicks, many official of government has joined in to help the bid.
Spokesperson for the Department of Agriculture of Alie van Jaarsveld says that the department has committed itself to the building of the houses.
“This is in response to a call by the government of local government and housing minister Richard Dyanti who has committed himself to mobilising cVBs1000 volunteers to assist in building people’s houses in this area,” says van Jaarsveld.
According to the department of agriculture the Wallacedene area has been identified as a site for such types of projects.
The 1000 volunteer programme aims to build 100 houses through this programme.
