South African Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the importance of understanding the critical issues that face the world today.

Dlamini Zuma said these issues can not be addressed effectively when so many countries and regions are left out of the key decisions.

Dlamini Zuma said South Africa is prepared to work with other members of the Uniting Nations to advance the goals of reform.

“We reiterate our view that the reform Security Council will have more legitimacy and its decisions more credibility.”

Dlamini Zuma also said it is a travesty that Africa is not represented in the permanent category.

“The dominant will continue to dictate to the dominated whilst the dream of the dominated will forever be deferred.”
