Police arrested nine suspects in Nyanga recently in connection with two separate cases of Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Possession of Possible Stolen Property.
It is believed that the suspects robbed people in Browns Farm.
The incidents occurred in the mornings and evenings when people were on their way to and from work.
Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi said that in the first incident, an 18-year-old male was fatally wounded. He sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the stomach and one to the chest after which he died.
In the second incident, a 22-year-old male was shot dead.
Six suspects were arrested on Monday and three yesterday. The suspects, aged between 18 and 26 years, are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court today.
