Man injured in a taxi and light motor vehicle collision in Rondebosch

One man was injured this morning after a taxi and light motor vehicle collided on Rondebosch Road in Rondebosch in the Western Cape.

Paramedics say the driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says “ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle parked on the pavement while the taxi sat in the middle of the road.”

He says “Paramedics assessed five people from the taxi and found that only the driver had sustained any injuries.”

Paramedics treated the man and transported him to Groote Schuur Hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
