A 22-year-old truck driver accused of causing a multi-vehicle accident in Durban over two weeks ago says he plans to plead not guilty.
Sithulile Zulu, who faces reckless and
negligent driving charges, appeared in a packed Durban Magistrate's Court on
Thursday for his bail application.
According to an affidavit read out in court,
Zulu denies the charges against him. His bail bid has been postponed to 31 March, for the State to verify a copy of his driver's licence, which was
submitted in court on Thursday.
Almost 50 vehicles were damaged in the crash.
