The African National Congress has reportedly told those who wish to form a splinter party to go ahead and face the full might of the party at the polls.

Instead of working to engender unity, party bosses have decided to show what they call the "ill-disciplined rogues" the door and remind them that membership can be terminated.

In the aftermath of an ugly public spat between national executive committee member Jeff Radebe and former national chairperson Mosioua Lekota, senior members are refusing to be held captive by breakaway threats.

ANC liaison officer Brian Sokuthu says the African National Congress regrets the utterance ill disciplined former national chairperson Mosioua Lekota and that the party sees this as the last kicks of a dying house.

Sokuthu added that ANC is an institution individuals like will always come and go.
