The master brain behind the murder of freedom fighter Chris Hani could be out on parole by December.
According to reports by the Saturday Star the Pretoria Prison Parole Board has recommended the release of Clive Derby-Lewis for a second time.
Correctional Services spokesman Sonwaba Mbananga confirmed on Friday that the recommendations had been made to the council.
Mbananga said it was premature and malicious to say parole will be granted.
The parole board have forwarded their assessment to the council.
The National Council of Correctional Services will review will meet again next month.
