The death toll of this morning’s minibus taxi accident on the N14 near Diepsloot in Johannesburg has risen.
Earlier reports stated that four people died on the scene and others sustained serious injuries and were in a critical condition.
Two more people have since died, increasing the number to six.
Paramedics say nine people were rushed to hospital with critical injuries.
The minibus, travelling towards Honeydew, overturned when a tyre burst.
It is alleged that speed could have been the cause of the accident as all of the people in the taxi had been flung from the vehicle.
