The Congress of South African Trade Unions is seriously concerned about a report in Saturday Star stating Freedom fighter Chris Hani’s killer could be a free man soon.
COSATU National Spokesperson Patrick Craven says they remain adamant that parole should not be granted to the convicted murderers of Comrade Chris Hani.
“The federation backs the view of the SACP that Derby-Lewis should not be paroled unless and until he has fully disclosed the identity of all those involved in the murder of one of the greatest leaders of our revolutionary movement,” he said.
Craven said they will continue to oppose any application Derby-Lewis makes for parole.
