The Western Cape traffic police have plans of intensifying it’s law enforcement strategy by having roadblocks during the week.
The province has seen an increase of 3000 more drunk drivers arrests compared to the previous year according the criminal statistics released in the week.
“Roadblocks are the most effective way of nabbing drunk drivers,” said Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa.
The department is aiming at extending the roadblocks from Wednesday to Thursday between 10pm and 6am.
