A twelve year old died after plummeting from a sixth floor window to a third floor balcony at Liberty Grand flats in Goodwood this morning.
ER24’s Andre Visser says Metro paramedics and local fire and rescue services were in attendance but the child was declared dead on the scene.
Meanwhile, 18 school children sustained minor injuries after the taxi they were traveling in overturned on the N2 early this morning.
Visser says the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn multiple times in the middle of the highway before coming to a standstill just before the Vanguard off ramp.
The patients received medical treatment at various hospitals in the area.
Both incidents will be investigated by authorities.
