Three people from the Boys Town have been nominated to serve on the Boys Town Housing Project Steering Committee, this after Minister of Housing in the Western Cape Bonginkosi Madikizela met with the committee.
Madikizela says this is a significant breakthrough and he will make it work for everyone who is involved.
The Boys Town Housing project, which is part of the N2 Gateway project, is expected to will yield up 1365 units.
The minister’s spokesperson, Zalisili Mbali,says as much as the department welcomes the participation from the community they will not tolerate their disorderly behaviour.
“As much as we welcome participation from the members of the public, I also wish to extend my advice to all those who would stop at nothing, but try and bring politics into this housing development in Boys Town, that we will not tolerate their unruly behaviour,” says Mbali.
