Duo in court for drugs

122 has been arrested in Mitchell’s Plain with two suspects for crime relating to assault, theft and possession of drugs by several Crime Prevention operations during the past weekend.

Police spokesperson Constable Jerome Voegt says police were executing routine patrols in Atletiek Street Beacon Valley when police saw a suspicious looking adult male and subsequently searched the suspect and found in his possession ten straws of tik.

“A 20 year old adult male suspect was arrested and he will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate Court on a charge relating to possession of tik.

“We received a complaint in Swemmer Street Beacon Valley upon arrival at the scene police confiscated seventeen parcels of dagga and arrested a 24 year old adult female , she will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate Court on a charge relating to possession of dagga,” said Voegt .
