Western Cape police are investigating more mass killings

The Western Cape MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen, has condemned the latest incidents of mass murder in the province.

Four men were shot and killed in Hout Bay on Saturday in a shack in Mandela Square.

According to Hout Bay Community Police Forum spokesperson Anthony Chelamey, this is the second group shooting to take place in the area.

"On 12 September we also had a group of four men who were shot. We have no clue what's going on, but it's all very concerning."

Chelamey claimed there have been no updates from police regarding arrests linked to these killings.

Hours later, three more people were killed in Samora Machel.

"A fourth person, who was shot in the back, was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The ages of the deceased persons are 17, 37 and 51," said Police spokesperson Brigadier Potelwa.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the murders and Allen says police need to do better work.
