The killer of Sheldean Human, Andrew Jordaan was sentenced to 58 years and 3 months imprisonment.

According to Solidarity Helping Hand Fund spokesperson Mariana Kriel the research they have done shows that Jordaan’s life sentencing has made him one on 3500 criminals serving life sentences around South African jails.

“Although nothing can mitigate the loss, justice was done,” says Kriel.

Solidarity’s Helping Hand Fund says that they have announced a Sheldean Human commemorative bursary last week. The bursary will be awarded to a successful candidate who wishes to pursue doctoral studies in social issues such as poverty and child abuse.
