Players will be wearing “No racism” messages on their jerseys during this weekend’s round of Curry Cup games, following the racist attack on Ziningi Shibambo during the South Africa – Australian Tri-Nations match at Coca Cola Park.
The South African Rugby Union (SARU), provincial unions and sponsors have all come together to stand against racism by borrowing players chests to promote the “No racism” message.
SARU president says that they are putting the message on the front of the player’s jerseys in order to make supporters aware that there is no doubt that rugby unions are against any sort of racists acts.
