South Africans Against Drunk Driving campaign called the Alco-Free-Feb campaign is entering its second year.
The campaign is calling on all South Africans to give up drinking for the whole month of February.
South Africans are encouraged to sign up on the alcofreefeb.co.za website for R100 for the whole month.
You can also donate R25 for a 10 day 'Student Challenge' and for specials occasions in the month, one can buy a 'Drinking Day Pass' for R20 a day.
The money raised by the campaign will to be used to develop and distribute alcohol education materials to increase awareness about the dangers of alcohol abuse.
The City of Cape Town has also signed up for the challenge.
The City’s JP Smith says the campaign is open to all South Africans who want to make a difference and want to create awareness about alcohol misuse.
