Aspirant musicians in Langa will be that much closer to reaching their dream ahead of the opening of the new Masidlale Music Project.
The project is a satellite school of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mayoral spokesperson Rulleskah Singh says the music school will provide “cultural education for the youth, especially those whose families do not have the financial means to pay for music lessons themselves”.
The learners participating in the project will receive musical training and instruments.
“Many residents still do not have the resources to explore and optimise their talents. Initiatives like the Masidlale Music Project make music more accessible,” says Singh.
