Sixteen people, who allegedly belong to a syndicate that has stolen goods worth millions of Rands from Shoprite-Checkers, have been arrested.
Spokesperson for the Hawks, McIntosh Polela says the syndicate, actually involves Shoprite employees.
The employees allegedly conspired to sign that the goods have been delivered, while they are actually being sold to private wholesalers.
Polela says more people who are involved in the syndicate will be arrested.
